The Sun Valley football team had another successful season in the eyes of most people. However, their coach disagreed with this assessment and felt that his squad failed miserably because they lost multiple games to rivals. The Sun Chiefs will need some major improvement if they want any shot at a P Daddy Championship.

UNAB 2013 Season Recap

It appears that the UNAB team is unable to put together a quality season. They have talent, but so far it just hasn’t come through for them in this year’s games and contests against other teams on campus. A look at their performance during fall ball makes it clear something is wrong with how much time each player spends preparing before going out on the field. The stats show some really low scores due largely from lackadaisical attitudes towards practice.

Ellisburg wins the 2011 Lucky 13 Championship

Ellisburg Triumphs Over Sun Valley State in Thrilling Lucky 13 Championship

In a dramatic finish where SVSU attempted an onside kick, the University of Ellisburg recovered and edged out Sun Valley State University (SVSU) 35-29 to capture the Lucky 13 Championship on their home field. It was a game for the ages, with both teams showcasing offensive firepower, but Ellisburg’s quarterback George Stevenson emerged as the hero of the night.

Ellisburg ran 447 yards of total offense, with Stevenson at the heart of the attack. The standout QB passed for 307 yards and delivered three touchdown passes, while also rushing for 125 yards and adding two more touchdowns on the ground. His dual-threat performance led Ellisburg to victory and earned him the highest honor of the college football season—the Heisman Trophy, awarded right after the game.

On the other side, SVSU gave a tremendous effort, amassing 486 yards of total offense. Their quarterback, Addison Biadasz, put on a passing clinic, throwing for 410 yards and four touchdowns. Biadasz found Heisman hopeful Lamont Walters eight times for 152 receiving yards, but despite their aerial success, they couldn’t overcome Stevenson and the Ellisburg offense.

The game was played at Ellisburg’s home stadium after they won a pivotal final regular-season matchup against SVSU, granting them home-field advantage. The championship showdown lived up to the hype, with both teams trading blows in a hard-fought contest.

Ultimately, it was George Stevenson’s remarkable performance that lifted Ellisburg to the championship and cemented his legacy with the Heisman Trophy, leading the university to its biggest win of the season.
